CLEARING OUT 26 YEARS OF PATIENT NOTES AND PRACTICE INVOICES FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT. I was confident the documents would be handled securely and shredded. The office with Ross and Max were a delight to deal with because they knew their business and were there to assist which they did, very well.
The service has not been great, it's extremely difficult to communicate with Shred It with all inboxes seemingly unmonitored. I am still trying to get an accurate invoice from them showing the deposit already paid, it seems impossible, it's almost like they don't want us to pay our bill! The person on the day was also apparently quite rude to our team. All in all, not great.
We have been with Shred It for longer than anyone can remember, our firm is nearly 50 years old. We have had a number of issues, especially in the last few years. Their customer service and communication is terrible, with having to chase them repeatedly for a response, currently I am still waiting for a response from Lee from sales or Callum in customer service. Overall I find their staff rude and disinterested. Any deviation from the usual run of things you will experience an issue with them, they are very unhelpful and they also charge for "visits" they have not made and add hidden surcharge costs. They will also turn up whenever they fancy, as opposed to when you need them. This is the last straw for us, we would not recommend this company at all and will be ending our contract when we can. Very disappointing after many years of being a loyal customer.
The staff that I have dealt with are always friendly and professional and willing to go the extra mile. I am impressed with their speedy response to emails and telephone messages and are excellent at keeping to their promises for collection dates. The operatives who make the collections are always friendly too.
The initial enquiry was responded to quickly and very helpful, explaining the process and guiding us towards the most cost effective option. The complimentary bags were received very quickly, and are sturdy. There was a long time between receiving the bags and actually booking the collection, on our part. The loss of 1 star is due to a rather clumsy payment system and disjointed collection set-up. I had gone ahead and paid the invoice, then notified our original contact with the payment information. He responded that he would forward the request to the scheduling team but I didn’t hear from them until I followed-up about a week later. This was another 9 working day wait for the pick-up, with an all day time window. When I asked the scheduler (not my original contact) if a narrower window could be provided, I did not receive any response. Pick-up went smoothly but then I received a request for payment from yet another team. I replied with the payment confirmation number, and the balance was closed. TLDR; sales process wonderful, very reasonable service, pick-up and accounts process needs a little smoothing out but overall well worth it.
Shred-It do a job and they do it well. Ross Hand continues to provide the right level of service and that comes from him clearly knowing his client. We don't want additional services BUT it's nice to know if there is maybe a discount we can utilise. Whilst not our account manager he provides such a good sales service that I never need to contact our account manager
It was not a smooth process to request an additional extra collection. Confirmation email response time & subsequent collection date were lengthy. We thought our 'usual' bag size would be collected, it was actually much smaller and the collection driver was unhelpful
Extremely convenient getting confidential shredding carried out on site, along with a friendly and professional service. Shred it has acted for us very satisfactorily a few times before and we will certainly continue using Shred it from hereon. Excellent service, thank you.
AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU’RE CONSIDERING A COMMERCIAL WASTE SWITCH. Their Rep came out to see one of my team. He was the same Rep I had from my current provider but now in his new job with Shred It, and he convinced one of my staff (who was heavily pregnant and due to go on Maternity leave) to sign a contract. Unbeknown to her, the contract was for the same amount we were paying monthly, BUT weekly! We are now paying FIVE TIMES MORE EACH MONTH with SMALLER BINS. We have tried and tried to cancel the contract. They don’t care, they would rather see a small business struggle than do the right thing. I am appalled by them. They are now chasing me for money for their OVER INFLATED CHARGES They don’t reply to emails. It seems there is no senior management in charge of this rep, he can do whatever he likes. COMPLETE LACK OF COMMUNICATION OR REPLIES TO EMAILS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Shred It were a great help when I had to dispose of a large amount of paperwork following a house clearance. Easy to contact, simple process and everything completed to the timescales promised. Would definitely recommend for a one off purge of personal, confidential paperwork.
