We are a holistic medical clinic focusing on informed choice regarding all aspects of perimenopause and menopause care; from lifestyle advice, over the counter supplements, to Body Identical Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) , always based upon BMS and NICE guidelines. We believe passionately about improving the lives of women. Being in the midst of our own individual perimenopausal journeys, it has become apparent that there is a significant lack of accessible information and widely available treatments for the problems associated with this important transitional stage of life. We are based in Oxford and offer face to face clinic appointments but also virtual appointments via zoom or telephone. We also offer blood tests in the clinic.

Dr. Melanie was great - she was so patient with me. She is extremely knowledgeable yet willing to listen to my concerns, theories, and aspirations. She really inspired confidence in me and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for personalised and specialised hormone care.
Great Doctor, well informed, evidence-based, up to date advice, I felt like I had all the time in the world to air my concerns and discuss issues, with someone who listened and cared.
Having been on HRT through my GP, I was looking for a more thorough approach to my treatment. All the symptoms I experienced were explained to me. The specialist took time to listen to my concerns, symptoms. I did not feel rushed at all. I am entirely very satisfied with the level of care provided. Most importantly, I feel that I can have someone to talk to should I wish to.
This was pretty clearly just a money making scheme. You pay your fee have a chat with a woman who is a Dr and you get what is obviously standard advice. I thought they would actually try to understand what was the best HRT for me but they just said carry on with what your GP has prescribed but you might want to up the dose. Testosterone was prescribed (which appears to be a standard response) for which a blood test is needed - I'm sure she said that she would send a letter saying I needed the blood test. When it came to it - I have to speak to my GP to arrange the blood test - since getting to see my GP is part of the problem it doesn't help to be told in order to get the medication I have to pay for (not on the NHS), I have to arrange a blood test through the NHS myself or pay another fee to have them do it. So despite paying for the medication I can't take it because I can't arrange the blood test. I wouldn't bother with this - just arrange an appointment with your GP and talk it through with them - if anything I felt more like part of sausage machine and received less individual attention with this clinic than I did with my GP. You can't interact with them at all everything is done through a portal where they post letters but you have no means of talking to them. There is no sense that this is in any way personal to me or a service.
A streamlined, timely and competent service from start to finish. Dr. Susanne Hooper is an expert with masses of experience. Her thorough consultation and advice have helped me enormously. No waiting around, just efficient and effective consultation and treatment. I really felt listened to - Susanne has a calm and reassuring manner that enhances her expertise. The fast and efficient delivery of my medication was impressive and the follow ups reassuring. Menopause is now something I can handle and life has improved dramatically as a result of the advise and care that the Oxford Hormone Clinic has given me.
