Hall Personal Training is a top notch studio. For many of us, faceless 24 hour gyms don’t work. For my money, Hall PT thoroughly assess, offer both standard and adapted workouts. They support you through personal health, nutrition and fitness goals and also during the times when injury, illness, rehab and recovery feel like they might get in the way of attending the gym. I always leave feeling “worked out”, completely supported and energised. I’ve never had this level of interest and care even from my years with 1:1 personal trainers! Big disappointment This training only works if you can lift weights. If for any reason, e.g. injury you cannot, no alternative is offered. No exercise machines at the gym, no aerobic/cardio exercises, no exercises at all without weights.I specified my shoulder hypermobility in the initial phone call (and was told we could work round it) and online form but for my mouvemrent assessment, the trainer had no idea - she mispronounced it twice. Sorry guys but you should be clearer about what you offer and how limited your staff knowledge of anatomy/physiology is.
I contacted Chris for some nutrition advice in the run up to my Ironman distance race. I felt I need a bit of guidance on eating the right food to get the most out of my training and also consuming the right food post exercise to help recovery. Chris helped me focus more on meal planning and to understand more about portion sizes. As a result I got to the start line in good shape. Thanks Chris.
Hall training combines friendly trainers with technically precise workouts. Since starting training 9 months ago I've become so much stronger and can now lift weights almost twice as heavy as before. Increased strength in my glutes and shoulders have meant that both my running and swimming times have gotten much faster. My trainer Tobi has never pressured me into lifting too much too soon but has also encouraged me to push myself to reach new goals. Ive achieved so many PBs since starting training with the Hall Training team - I would definitely recommend.
I looked into hiring a trainer as I'm an American student who was studying in Oxford for only 3 weeks and needed to continue on with my training. I did some research and loved the reviews these guys had and what they had to offer.Although my stay was incredibly short and time training with these guys, I had some fantastic sessions and the level of the service provided was awesome.Just a shame we don't have them out in the States!
