Have lost 2.5k from an investment. Yes I know they give a warning and went in knowing this in theory but I really am not sure on the quality of diligence that is really being done. Especially given the complete lack of information they have provided over previous 3 years

Usually offers are snapped up so quickly that I fail to invest. This time I've been able to and the process was easy, however, be aware that you need to register with them first and provide ID, which can take a while so best to register if you might want to invest through them.

I have been investing for over 4 years in order to help countries in Africa make the most of their natural resource. The site is easy to use except I have yet to find a way of transferring my money back into an ISA account.

Website a bit slow, but recently improved. Regular email updates on new investments - be warned, you have to be quick to invest, as these are usually full to completion very quickly. There is a risk to capital, which is highlighted on the website and in the documents, mitigated by spreading investments.

Four (so far) out of my 15 investments are no longer meeting their capital and interest payment obligations. There is no positive news coming from the platform. They ought to be totally transparent and report on how many previous investments are failing to meet their obligations. This is an increasingly risky area of investment, and with domestic inflation rates at 10%, you can invest your capital much more safely than this. Update as of 11 November 2022. So this week I was informed by Energise Africa that Redavia in which I have bonds in two issues have gone into liquidation. The most recent bond issue was May this year. I have potentially lost £3600 on this ill-fated venture. By the way it seems the physical assets of the companies are squirrelled away in other entities. BEWARE!

I have been investing in projects using the Energise Africa portal for two years. My experience with them has been very positive so far. The capital and interest have been paid back on schedule and correctly. I have been reinvesting return these into different projects when they become available meaning my capital is growing along with my impact. Investing in projects that impact people's lives positive is very satisfying in itself.
